Common IR Procedures

  • Joint Injections & Aspirations - ultrasound or fluoroscopy-guided injections for pain management and diagnostic aspirations.
  • Epidural & Spinal Injections - targeted steroid or therapeutic injections for radicular pain and spinal stenosis.
  • Varicose Vein Ablation - image-guided endovenous thermal or chemical ablation.
  • Arthrograms - contrast studies for joint evaluation prior to surgery or advanced imaging.
  • Biopsies & Drainages - percutaneous tissue biopsy and abscess or fluid drain placements.
  • Vascular Access & Interventions - tunneled catheter placement, embolization, and angioplasty when indicated.

Patient Preparation

  • Bring prior imaging and the referring physician's order.
  • Follow fasting or medication instructions provided for specific procedures.
  • Arrange a driver if sedation is planned.
  • Inform us about blood thinners, allergies, and current medications.

Reports & Scheduling

Interventional procedures are scheduled by our team; consults and pre-procedure instructions are provided at scheduling. Reports are sent to the referring physician within 48 hours or sooner for urgent results.
